On Friday April 13th, families and classmates gathered in the auditorium for the "Mr. Pequannock" competition, an exciting event sponsored by Mr. Honig's Marketing II class.
The competition was composed of three events: introduction, interview, and talent. Seven of PTHS' finest seniors battled it out on stage to be crowned the winner. The Judging panel, or the "Elite Three," included Mrs. Kohle, Mr. Lucas, and new Media Specialist Mrs. Schiano.
Each contestant raised money for the charity of his choice. Throughout the night, their campaign managers walked around with buckets to take spare change and donations. As well as going to the charities, the money raised was counted toward their overall score.
The night was filled with laughter, singing, and dancing, but there could only be one winner. After raising $1200 for his charity, Veton Seji took home the crown and title of "Mr. Pequannock". His dancing performance had the crowd in tears and left the judges with big smiles.
