The Coffee Debate

Which coffee company is better, Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks? Both Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks are famous for their coffee and tasty treats, but which company wins over consumers?

A survey was recently conducted in order to settle the long-time debate, as 22 PTHS students were questioned about their preferences of certain products from each store.

According to the survey, Dunkin Donuts was been voted the majority favorite. When asked which company they enjoyed more overall, 14 out of 22 respondents chose Dunkin Donuts over Starbucks.

One respondent answered, “I prefer Dunkin Donuts because it is closer to home and is something that I’ve always known. Dunkin Donuts is reliable.” Another answered, “I prefer Dunkin Donuts because there is a drive-thru on Rt 23 which makes it more accessible for me in the mornings before school and when it is cold outside.”

Looking at these results, Dunkin Donuts seems to be the more convenient store and the preferred coffee.

However, some Starbucks drinks were in fact voted over Dunkin Donuts drinks. The Starbucks iced tea was voted better than Dunkin’s, winning by 10 votes. Also, the Starbucks frappuccino was favored over the Dunkin coolatta. Besides these items, however, Dunkin Donuts was voted best overall.
