It's College Application Season! (A Letter to Applying Seniors)

Seniors, it is that time of year…

The time for college applications is upon us! But, no need to fear. This is a time to show off our hard work and achievements these past four years. Now is our opportunity to prove that we are ready for college. We have worked so hard through all the exams, SATs, homework, essays, and math problems to get to where we are, so don’t let the stress stop you now!

The application process is always a difficult time, but by staying focused, I promise we will all get through this. Here are some helpful guidelines to follow to ease the application process:

1) Stay organized! It will feel less overwhelming if you keep all your things sorted out, and it will be easier for you to put everything together in the end.

2) Talk to your counselor! Our counselors are our allies. They are here to guide us through this process and to make sure that we do the best we can.

3) Make time for yourself. College applications can be a heavy load, and it is essential that we take some time out of our busy day to free our minds from stress.

Overall, the best advice right now is to just keep working hard so it will all pay off in the end. Just imagine how it will feel when you’ve finally applied, have settled a decision at a certain school, and are ready for the next chapter.
