Spring 2017 has finally arrived and PTHS’s female students are clearly excited about the return of spring fashion! With the warmer weather comes lighter clothing, brighter colors, and sandals. Here are a few of PTHS’s very own displaying some new spring trends!

“Athleisure” is in. Wikipedia describes it as “a trend in fashion in which clothing designed for workouts and other athletic activities is worn in other settings, such as during work, trips to school, or other casual or social occasions”. PTHS students are definitely in on this new trend!

Deanna Cannizzaro, senior, is comfortable and fashionable in heather grey joggers and a pair of black Nike sneakers with cute peach accents.

Senior Sara White also sports some casual active-ish wear along with one of the trendiest color of Spring 2017: yellow. She pairs her pastel yellow high-top Converse with some ripped American Eagle skinny jeans for a put-together and easy look.

It seems that all girls have caught onto the fact that t-shirt/swing dresses are possibly the best type of clothing to have ever been invented, because just about everyone at PTHS has been wearing them lately.

They’re super soft, comfortable, not at all clingy, and everyone looks effortlessly adorable in them. It’s basically like that huge t-shirt you wear to bed, but way cuter and way more acceptable to wear outside of your house. Senior Rebeccah Wood, left, wears a soft beige cardigan over her mandala-esq printed dress, while sophomore Julia Cucci chooses a cropped white denim jacket to keep warm. Senior Laura Franey, middle, sticks with just her solid olive green t-shirt dress for a super easy and pretty look.

If you’re in the mood for something loose and comfy but you don’t feel like shaving your legs, you can always wear some funky pants instead! Katie Dara, senior, channels her inner flower child with these super fun flowy pants.

As you can see by Katie’s flip-flops, wearing flowy pants not only makes for a stylish outfit, but also for a day full of comfort. Similar to the t-shirt dress trend, 70s-style pants let you come really close to wearing pajamas as real clothes.

According to elleuk.com, the pajama-like trend doesn’t stop at loose dresses and pants. Models were seen strutting the runway in trench coats that looked more like bathrobes!

The bathrobe trend has yet to hit Pequannock, but I wouldn’t be complaining if it makes its way here.
